Epidemiological alertness program in occupational health in Asturias: Advising sentry net in Primary Attention

To promote the development of the alertness of the health in relationship to the work in Primary Health Care, The Regional Health Agency and Occupational Security of Asturias has put under way an epidemiological alertness system based on advising physicians sentry in Primary Attention on 4 pathologies: asthma, RADS ( Reactive airways dysfunction Syndrome), occupational dermatoses and carpal tunnel syndrome. The program has begun in May of 1999 with the participation of 153 medical, that until January of 2000 have notified 40 cases of diseases possibly related to the occupational activity. They are described the procedures, the accomplished activities and the principals resulted, as well as the conclusions extracted until the present.
