Pedro R. Mondelo is a professor at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (Spain), and Director of the Research Center for Corporate Innovation (CERpIE). He has participated in numerous research projects, and is the author of various books on Ergonomics and Occupational Risk Prevention. His principal areas of research include occupational risk prevention management, commuting accident analysis, and the relationship between working conditions and productivity. Professor Mondelo specializes in developing advanced training programs for executives and experienced occupational risk prevention professionals.

Prof. Kaija Leena Saarela

Kaija Leena Saarela is professor at Tampere University of Technology (Finland), where she heads the Centre for Safety Management and Engineering. She has been deputy director of the Department of occupational safety at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. She has participated in several research projects and is the author of over 160 publications. Her research interests include safety and health management, risk and accident analysis and prevention, violence at work and participatory safety programs.

Prof. Waldemar Karwowski

Waldemar Karwowski is professor at the University of Central Florida (USA). Certified Professional Ergonomist, he is past president of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and of the International Ergonomics Association. Author or co-author of over 350 publications, doctor Karwowski currently serves on the Committee on Human Factors (National Research Council, USA). He is editor of the journal Human Factors and Ergonomics in Manufacturing, and editor-in-chief of the journal Theoretical Issues in Ergonomics Science.

Prof. Enrico Occhipinti

Physician Enrico Occhipinti is professor of occupational medicine at Milan University (Italy). He chairs the Centre for occupational medicine (CEMOC) at the Mangiagalli-Regina Elena Hospital, and the research unit on Ergonomics of posture and movement (EPM) at the DG Foundation in Milan. European Ergonomist (CREE), he chairs the Technical committee on musculoskeletal disorders of the International Ergonomics Association, and is member of the CEN and ISO Committees on ergonomics (biomechanics group).

Prof. Paul Swuste

Paul Swuste is associate professor of the Safety Science Group at Delft University of Technology (The Nederlands). He has an MSc degree in Biochemistry and made his PhD on occupational hazards and solutions. His research interests include occupational exposure, control measures to occupational hazards, and occupational accidents and their legal aspects in various branches of industry.

Prof. Pedro Arezes

Pedro Arezes is a Full Professor at the University of Minho (Portugal), where he coordinates the Human Engineering Research Group. In 2005, he was appointed as the Director of the Ergonomics Laboratory at the same University and member of the Direction Board of the Human Engineering MSc. and of the PhD. Programme in Industrial Engineering and Systems. He authored more than 150 papers in international journals and conference proceedings and, as he has been collaborating with several international peer-reviewed scientific journals in the domain of Ergonomics and Occupational Safety, both as a reviewer and member of the editorial committee. He is also the Vice-President of the Portuguese Society for Occupational Safety and Hygiene (SPOSHO) since its foundation in 2004.

Prof. Gui Fu

Gui Fu is currently a professor and the deputy dean of the Faculty of Resources and Safety Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing. He got his PhD and master degree on safety engineering in 1996 and 1987 respectively, and now Professor Fu is a member of National Steering Committee for Tertiary Education of Safety Engineering, Chinese National Expert Committee for OHS and several national and international profession associations. Prof Fu has more than 20 years of work experience in the field of OHS teaching, research. From 2000 to 2005, he has had three sabbatical studies in Australia, staying with School of Safety Science, UNSW, Accident Research Center and the Dept of Management, Monash University. He also made some visits to the professional organizations in the United States, Canada, South Africa and Korea. Prof. Fu’s research interests are behavioral safety, safety culture and risk management.

Consultant for Korean Government and Blue House (Korean White House).

Prof. Harry Shannon

Harry Shannon is a Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University. He obtained his B.A. in Mathematics from Oxford University in 1970, an M.Sc. in Mathematical Statistics from Birmingham in 1971, and a Ph.D. in Applied Statistics from the University of London in 1978. He was Director of McMaster’s Program in Occupational Health and Environmental Medicine from 1999-2005, and served as President of the Canadian Association for Research on Work and Health in 2003-2004. He is on the Editorial Boards of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and Safety Science. His research projects have included mortality and morbidity studies in various industries. He has explored the role of organizational factors and interventions to create safe workplaces. He is currently chair of the Methodology Working Group for the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging.

Prof. Ricardo Ros

Ricardo Ros es Profesor Titular de la Universidad de Zaragoza (UZ) y ha orientado tanto sus actividades formativas como de investigación a la biomecánica y a la fisiología del esfuerzo, tanto en el campo del deporte como del trabajo. Comenzó su formación en este campo en Francia (INSERM U. 14) en el año 1987. En la actualidad es el responsable de los módulos de Ergonomía del Máster Universitario de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales de la UZ. Es investigador principal del grupo de investigación Deporte, Ergonomía y Salud (DERSA) y Director de la Cátedra Sociedad de Prevención Fremap de la UZ. Comenzó sus actividades en prevención en el año 1990 lo que le ha permitido dirigir numerosos trabajos orientados a la ergonomía ocupacional y de diseño de productos y puestos de trabajo.
