
Dr. Nunez is the acting Deputy Manager of the Mission Management Office in the International Space Station (ISS) & Spacecraft Processing Directorate at NASA, Kennedy Space Center. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing the overall leadership, organization, planning and direction of the office. In his 20 years with NASA, he has performed in multiple engineering/leadership roles in cross-agency task teams. He is also Project Manager for the ISS Orbital Replacement Units (ORUs) that will fly aboard the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency’s (JAXA) H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) from Tanegashima, Japan. He received his Bachelors in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, and both Masters and Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida. He is also a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida.
